Only Abdul Samad Rabiu of BUA, one of the three Nigerians on this year’s Forbes list, saw an increase in his fortunes from the previous year. The source of the significant increase was the significant increase in shares of his publicly traded companies, BUA Cement Plc and BUA Foods Plc. Remember that after BUA Foods Plc was listed on the Nigerian Exchange on January 5, 2022, his wealth increased from $4.9 billion to $7 billion in just 48 hours.
