JUST IN: Buhari Makes Powerful Appointment (PHOTO)

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Deputy Corps Marshal Dauda Biu as the Federal Road Safety Corps’ substantive Corps Marshal (FRSC).

Bisi Kazeem, the Corps Public Education Officer, made the announcement in an Abuja statement on Sunday, January 1.

Since July 2022, Biu has served as Acting Corps Marshal.

He is the second career staff member to be appointed in that capacity, following Boboye Oyeyemi, the Corps Marshal who retired in July.

Biu was born in Zaria, Kaduna State, but is a native of Borno’s Hawul Local Government Area.

He joined the FRSC in 1988 and worked his way up to his current position.

He had previously served as Acting Corps Marshal and Deputy Corps Marshal in charge of Finance and Accounts, among other positions.

Biu graduated from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria with a Masters Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.
