The incident is said to have taken place as Osimhen was leaving the venue with friends. According to the Turkish newspaper Posta, Bozduman and three fellow journalists were photographing the Nigerian footballer when tensions escalated.

Recounting the incident, Bozduman stated, “I was filming Osimhen at the entrance with three of my colleagues. When the flashes went off, chaos erupted. He lunged at me, shouting. He attempted to grab my camera but I resisted. The punch connected with my head and my right side still hurts. He began to curse at me.”

The journalist also claimed that Osimhen tried to bribe him to delete the footage, saying, “He suggested, ‘Destroy the footage, and I’ll give you money.’ When I refused, he threatened, ‘I’ll destroy you.’”

As of now, neither Osimhen nor Galatasaray has issued an official response to the claims.

Despite the controversy, Osimhen has been performing exceptionally well for Galatasaray, scoring 15 goals and providing six assists in 19 matches across all competitions, further establishing his status as a leading player in the Turkish league.
