According to reports, the heinous incident occurred in Kibwera village, Geita district, Geita province (Tanzania).

According to the tenant with two wives, he realized that his second and younger wife had grown too close to the landlord since moving into his house.

Ndalawa, who lives in the same house as his two wives, claimed he witnessed his lover and the landlord having an affair in her room.

According to reports, the village chairman, Simion Kisinza, confirmed the incident, saying it was reported to the village leadership, who decided to punish Katayo as a deterrent to others.
