Makinde Reshuffles Cabinet, Swears In Ladipo, Redeploys Adelabu
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Monday inaugurated Dr. Debo Ladipo as a member of the State Executive Council and announced the redeployment of Prof. Solihu Adelabu to a new ministry as part of efforts to strengthen governance and improve service delivery across the state.
According to Ireporter Online, the swearing-in ceremony took place at the Executive Chamber of the Governor’s Office in the State Secretariat, Ibadan, where the governor unveiled the latest adjustments to his cabinet. Under the new arrangement, Ladipo assumes office as the Commissioner for Establishment and Training, while Adelabu has been reassigned from the Ministry of Establishment and Training to the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Investment and Cooperatives.
While administering the oath of office, Governor Makinde urged the public not to interpret appointments or redeployments within government as a reflection of an official’s competence or performance. He explained that cabinet changes are a routine aspect of governance, driven by evolving priorities and the need to place public officials in positions where they can make the greatest impact.
The governor stated that the latest reshuffle was aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of his administration and ensuring the successful delivery of its promises to the people of Oyo State. He noted that such changes should be viewed as strategic decisions intended to improve coordination, efficiency and the implementation of government policies and programmes.
Makinde charged Ladipo and other members of the Executive Council to remain committed to their responsibilities and maintain a high level of dedication in serving the people
