This declaration was made on Monday in Abuja during an inspection of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) facilities, accompanied by the Comptroller General (CG) of the Service, Wura-Ola Adepoju.

Tunji-Ojo emphasized that this initiative is aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He confidently stated, “We are good to go live,” indicating that training is underway, and the solution will be operational on January 8, offering Nigerians an enhanced experience in line with the President’s Renewed Hope vision.

Highlighting the benefits, the minister emphasized, “We have been able to reduce human contact in passport acquisition to the minimum,” and expressed confidence that the new approach would not only bolster the country’s security architecture but also provide enhanced comfort and convenience for Nigerians.
