NYSC Offers Redeployment Option For Married Female Corps Members
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has advised married female prospective corps members, who have been posted to states where their husbands do not reside, to apply for redeployment. This announcement was made through a post on X.com on Monday.
The NYSC stated, “ATTENTION ALL 2024 BATCH ‘B’ STREAM II MARRIED FEMALE PROSPECTIVE CORPS MEMBERS. All married female Prospective Corps members (PCM’s) who are deployed to States where their husbands are not domiciled should report to the nearest NYSC Orientation Camp for their State of Deployment to be changed.”
To initiate the redeployment process, these female corps members are required to present copies of their marital and other relevant documents during the registration period at the Orientation Camps. The changes will then be reflected on their dashboard for reprinting.
The NYSC, established on May 22, 1973, is a Nigerian government initiative aimed at involving graduates in nation-building and fostering national unity. The scheme is mandatory for all Nigerian graduates under 30 years old, who, upon successful completion of the service year, receive a certificate of satisfactory participation.
