Rudeboy Reveals The Reason He Still Can’t Forgive Twin Brother

Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has opened up about the prolonged disagreement between him and his twin brother, Peter Okoye, revealing that their issues go beyond their former music partnership.

According to Ireporter Online, the singer made the revelation during an interview with Tribune, where he discussed the challenges that have affected his relationship with his brother and former P-Square bandmate.

Rudeboy explained that the situation between them caused deep emotional pain and affected the trust they once shared as siblings. He stressed that the disagreement was not solely about music but involved personal and family matters that have made reconciliation difficult.

The singer said he had deliberately remained silent on several occasions to protect the image of their family and prevent the matter from escalating publicly.

He noted that although many fans continue to hope for a reunion between him and Peter, they may not fully understand the personal struggles and emotional experiences behind their public disagreements.

Rudeboy stated that resolving the matter would require more than public appeals, as rebuilding their relationship would involve addressing issues of trust and personal hurt.

The singer added that he is currently focused on his children, personal development and his music career, while prioritising his peace of mind.

He said, “I don’t think I can forgive my twin brother. What happened is something I never expected from my own blood. The problem is not music. It’s deeper than that. It’s about family, trust and betrayal. I have remained silent on several occasions in the past to protect the family’s image. Some actions leave permanent scars. Peace of mind now takes priority over everything else.”
