Solomon Buchi Sparks Debate Over Abortion Of Babies With Down Syndrome

Social commentator Solomon Buchi has condemned the abortion of babies diagnosed with Down syndrome, describing the practice as morally wrong and inconsistent with the belief in equal human dignity.

In a post shared on Instagram, Buchi argued that if society truly upholds the principle that every human being deserves equal value regardless of race, sex, or other differences, the same standard should also apply to unborn children diagnosed with disabilities.

He maintained that every life holds inherent worth and deserves protection, stressing that disability should not be a basis for termination of pregnancy.

According to Ireporter Online, Buchi stated that aborting a child because they have Down syndrome is “deeply wrong,” adding that society must remain consistent in its respect for human dignity.

He further emphasized that equality should extend to all stages of life, noting that “every life has worth.”
