Shettima: Tinubu Fully Committed To Securing Release Of Abducted Oyo Pupils
According to Ireporter Online, Vice President Kashim Shettima has assured Nigerians that the Federal Government is intensifying efforts to secure the release of children and other citizens currently in captivity of kidnappers and terrorist groups across the country.
Shettima gave the assurance on Friday in Abuja after a special Jummat prayer held at the National Mosque as part of activities marking the 2026 Democracy Day celebration.
He stated that President Bola Tinubu remains firmly committed to addressing insecurity and restoring peace, safety, and stability across all regions of the country. According to him, the administration is determined to overcome prevailing security challenges and ensure lasting calm in affected communities.
The Vice President added that government efforts to end violent crimes and criminal activities will continue without interruption, stressing that the current security situation would not derail plans to return normalcy to the lives of Nigerians.
He also urged citizens to remain prayerful and supportive of one another, noting that unity remains essential in overcoming the nation’s challenges. Shettima emphasized that the bond among Nigerians is stronger than their differences, calling for greater national cohesion.
Reassuring Nigerians, he said President Tinubu’s administration remains fully committed to restoring peace and stability, adding that difficult times would eventually give way to better days.
