Kenneth Okonkwo: Why Peter Obi Is Not Fit To Be President

According to Ireporter Online, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Kenneth Okonkwo, has accused the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, of betrayal.

Okonkwo made the allegation during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, where he spoke about his past political association with Obi and the circumstances surrounding their fallout.

He explained that he publicly severed ties with Obi in 2024 after concluding that the former Anambra State governor lacked the decisiveness required to lead Nigeria. The Nollywood actor-turned politician noted that he had long worked as a public affairs analyst before meeting Obi and had already returned to independent commentary following their separation.

“I’ve seen in him certain qualities that make him unfit to be the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I made it public. By then, I had finished my job with him. But in order for the people to know that I am not speaking for him anymore, I made it public, and I went my own way,” Okonkwo stated.

He further alleged that rather than him betraying Obi, it was Obi who betrayed him, insisting that their professional relationship had already ended before his recent political engagements.
