Breaking: Dollar To Naira Exchange Rate For July 3, 2026
The Nigerian currency continued to trade at different rates across the parallel and official foreign exchange markets on Thursday, July 2, 2026.
According to market information obtained by Ireporter Online from Bureau De Change (BDC) operators in Lagos, the United States dollar exchanged at ₦1,408 for sellers and ₦1,396 for buyers in the parallel market, commonly referred to as the black market or Aboki FX.
The update reflects the prevailing rates at the informal foreign exchange market, where many Nigerians source foreign currencies despite the market not being officially recognized by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Meanwhile, figures from the official foreign exchange market showed that the naira traded within a range of ₦1,360 to ₦1,373 against the US dollar during the same period.
The CBN has consistently maintained that individuals and businesses seeking foreign exchange should conduct their transactions through authorized financial institutions, emphasizing that it does not recognize transactions carried out in the parallel market.
Foreign exchange rates may differ across locations and dealers, as prices are largely influenced by market demand, supply, and other prevailing economic factors.
