Gov. Kefas Names Deputy Director-Generals, Other Officials For 2027 Campaign

Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has approved the appointment of deputy director-generals for his 2027 re-election campaign council across the state’s three senatorial zones, alongside the appointment of a spokesperson and secretary as part of efforts to strengthen the campaign structure ahead of the next governorship election.

According to information made available to journalists, the appointments were confirmed by the Director-General of the Agbu Kefas Moving Forward Agenda 2027, Danladi Baido, who stated that the appointments take immediate effect and are aimed at ensuring effective coordination of political activities across Taraba State in preparation for the 2027 polls.

The newly appointed officials include Dr. Bulus Maiyaki (Makaman Donga) as Deputy Director-General for Taraba South Senatorial Zone, Rt. Hon. Kabiru Jalo as Deputy Director-General for Taraba Central Senatorial Zone, Rt. Hon. (Prof.) Albasu Kunini as Deputy Director-General for Taraba North Senatorial Zone, Hon. Emmanuel Bello as Spokesperson of the Dr. Agbu Kefas Re-Election Campaign Council 2027, and Rt. Hon. Josiah Sabo Kente (PhD) as Secretary of the campaign council.

Baido explained that the appointments demonstrate the campaign council’s commitment to assembling a team of experienced, competent and dedicated leaders with proven records in public service, political mobilisation and commitment to the vision of the Moving Forward Agenda.

He congratulated the newly appointed officials and urged them to carry out their responsibilities with diligence, discipline, dedication and a strong spirit of teamwork. He also expressed confidence that they would work closely with party leaders, stakeholders, support groups and volunteers to consolidate the widespread support enjoyed by Governor Kefas across Taraba State ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
