Tinubu Outshines PDP’s 8-Year Era In Just 24 Months – Bwala Declares

Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has asserted that the President’s achievements in just two years surpass the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) record in its first eight years in power between 1999 and 2007, according to IReporter Online.

Bwala noted that President Tinubu assumed office in 2023 under far more difficult circumstances than the PDP faced in 1999, yet has made notable progress in both the economy and national security.

He stressed that while the PDP enjoyed an era of debt forgiveness and high oil output, Tinubu has had to confront debt repayment and dwindling production, according to IReporter Online.

Highlighting further contrasts, Bwala said the PDP inherited a nation that enjoyed global sympathy and support after years of military rule, whereas Tinubu is under pressure to prove himself without such advantages.

He credited the President with making decisive moves to stabilise the economy and curb insecurity, noting that Boko Haram’s emergence stemmed from mismanagement under past PDP governments.

Bwala concluded that mismanagement during the PDP era led to economic decline, leaving past leaders hesitant to make tough reforms. Tinubu, he said, “took the bullet” and set the economy on a recovery path, according to IReporter Online.
