Wike Speaks On Who Rivers Electorate Will Vote As President

Rivers State voters have been told who to vote for as president on Saturday, according to Governor Nyesom Wike.

He did not, however, name the specific candidate chosen by the electorate as their preferred presidential candidate.

He expressed unwavering confidence in the state’s voters’ willingness to honor the agreement he reached with them on the preferred presidential candidate.

Wike made the remarks yesterday at the start of the second phase of the Ahoada-Omoku Road at Ogbo/Ukordu Junction in Ahoada East Local Government Area.

The governor urged residents to keep their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) handy and to use them to “pepper” political opponents.

He said: “I am sure you must have brought out your PVC and kept it very well so that nobody will say my PVC is missing. Go now and put it under your pillow.

“By 6:30 in the morning on Saturday make sure you’re in your various polling units and use your PVC and pepper them. Help us and use your PVC to pepper those wicked people.”
