BREAKING: Police Find Guns In Ogboni Leader’s Home, Declare Him Wanted (PHOTOS)

Tajudeen Olanrewaju Bakare, an Ogboni leader, has been declared wanted by the Lagos State Police Command.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, Public Relations Officer, linked Bakare to the deadly clash in Surulere in a statement issued on Thursday.

During the visit of PDP governorship candidate Abdulazeez Adeniran a.k.a. Jandor, supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) clashed.

During the fight that left at least two people dead last Friday, firearms and other weapons were openly used.

Hundeyin stated that the police acted in response to a video showing a man brandishing a pump action rifle and threatening public order.

Working with actionable intelligence, the CSP Egbeyemi-led Rapid Response Squad (RRS) conducted a sting operation on Bakare’s residence in Surulere.

Officers discovered three pump action rifles, one Beretta pistol magazine, one spent 9mm cartridge, one spent and three live cartridges, and a picture frame.

“The suspect, Tajudeen Olanrewaju Bakare, narrowly escaped arrest and is hereby declared wanted.

“Any useful information leading to his arrest would be highly appreciated and treated with utmost confidentiality”, Hundeyin added.
