JUST IN: APC Campaign Coordinators Defect To PDP

Six campaign coordinators from the Bauchi State All Progressives Congress (APC) Gubernatorial Campaign Council have defected to the Peoples Democratic Party ahead of next month’s governorship election (PDP).

The defection, which occurred at a time when Bauchi governorship candidates were ramping up their campaign efforts to woo voters, has created a void in the camp of retired Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar.

Comrade Nasiru Khalid, chairman of the coordinators, announced the party’s demise at the Banquet Hall of Government House in Bauchi.

He stated that the progressive agenda of the PDP-led administration in Bauchi drew them to the party, and that they will contribute significantly to the party’s victory in the state.

Khalid stated that their unanimous decision to defect to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was made after extensive consultation with their grassroots supporters.

He stated that the delegation will continue to mobilize and canvass votes for candidates running on the PDP platform, based on the party’s blueprint, which he believes will benefit citizens.
