Nigerian Women Market Forum Congratulates Tinubu Advocates For Female Deputy Speaker In 10th Assembly

In a recent press release, the Nigerian Women Market Forum extended their congratulations to the President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his victory in the just-concluded 2023 presidential election. In line with this, the forum urged Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to employ their zoning formula to grant them the position of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.

According to the APC National Working Committee, the position of Deputy Speaker has been zoned to the South East. In light of this, the forum highlighted the candidacy of Rt Hon Miriam Onuoha, the sole female contestant vying for the position in the 10th Assembly. The forum implored President-Elect Tinubu, the APC, and all members of the 10th Assembly to support Onuoha’s bid for Deputy Speaker.

The Nigerian Women Market Forum expressed their belief that President-Elect Tinubu would continue to support Nigerian women as the 10th Assembly commences its tenure.

They offered prayers for the good health and strength of both the President-Elect and Vice President-Elect, wishing them success in leading the nation.
