Lagos Government Implements Traffic Diversion At Ikorodu Roundabout To Facilitate Junction Improvement Works
Continuing its efforts to alleviate traffic congestion and streamline commuting in the city, the Lagos State Government has introduced a traffic diversion at the Lane Inbound Ikorodu General Hospital.
This diversion is a crucial step in the ongoing Junction Improvement Works at Ikorodu Roundabout, aimed at easing traffic bottlenecks and reducing travel duration across the city.

Scheduled to commence on Thursday, August 17, the traffic diversion is designed to facilitate the finalization of the Asphalt binder course and wearing course for the newly constructed slip road.
This development is part of the comprehensive plan to enhance traffic flow and diminish travel time within the metropolis.
According to a statement by Abdulhafiz Toriola, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transportation, this initiative is an extension of the Junction Improvement Works that seek to address congestion issues and improve commuting efficiency within the city.

During the construction phase, an alternate route will be accessible to motorists. Those heading inbound to Ikorodu General Hospital will be directed to utilize the slip road for accessing Hospital road from Polaris Bank and continuing onward to the General Hospital.
As this lane closure is temporary and forms an integral part of the city’s traffic management strategy, motorists are urged to exercise patience.
