Justice Williams-Dawodu nullified the Tribunal’s judgment that had upheld Governor Mutfwang’s election, deeming it highly incompetent.

The court criticized the tribunal’s decision to dismiss the APC’s petition and its candidate, stating that their involvement in the affairs of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was legitimate.

This ruling was deemed a violation of Section 177 of the 1999 Constitution as amended and Section 134 (C) of the Electoral Act.
