Concerns arose among Nigerians that officers seen in the video, retrieving money thrown into the air by singer Shallopopi, might be dismissed from service.
Adejobi stressed that while the officers might undergo a lecture discouraging such actions, it would not result in dismissal as the offense is considered less severe.
In response to the video on Instagram, Adejobi stated, “We won’t dismiss a policeman for picking such money; we can only lecture him not to do so again, as such relegates him.”
