Lancelot Imasuen@50: Philip Shaibu Bags Entertainment Leadership Clapp Awards For His Untiring Efforts Towards Youth Engagement

As part of activities marking the milestone celebration of Nollywood Guvnor himself, the multiple award-winning filmmaker and entertainment legend, Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen led members of his D Guv@50 global committee on an official courtesy visit to Edo State Deputy Governor His Excellency, Rt Hon Philip Shaibu.

During the visit, the Deputy Governor was presented with the first-ever Entertainment Leadership Clapp Awards for his untiring efforts in engaging the youths and stretching out role models that will further motivate the teeming youths.

The Deputy Governor was recognised for his roles in the social /cultural empowerment of Edo youths which has gone a long way in reducing youth restiveness in the State.

In his response, the sports-loving Deputy Governor congratulated Lancelot Imasuen on attaining 50 years and promised to be a .part of the birthday celebrations.

The Deputy Governor further applauded the roles the Edo born international filmmaker is positively using the entertainment industry to enhancing the quality of life of citizens, according to him entertainment is a sure way to gather job creation and can go a long way in ameliorating the impasses of the masses.

He said the Edo State government is also in tune with the visions of the Lancelot Imasuen Centre for Global Culture and Entertainment and has various programs and policies in tandem with the Centre, making reference to the Edo film and TV village initiative the Deputy Governor assured of his continuous support to the entertainment sector.

Meanwhile,  congratulatory messages keep pouring in from well-wishers on both traditional and social media with the latest coming from the Senator representing Edo South Senatorial District, Sen Matthew Uroghide who in a letter of felicitation wished the legend happy birthday celebrations.
