Nigerian skit maker Oderhowho Joseph Efe, popularly known as Carter Efe, has lost his official TikTok account after the platform permanently banned the page for repeated violations of its community guidelines.

According to Ireporter Online, the ban was confirmed on Wednesday after TikTok stated that the account had breached its policies on multiple occasions.

Before its removal, Carter Efe’s account had amassed more than 5.6 million followers and over 158 million likes, making it one of the comedian’s major platforms for sharing comedy skits, promoting music and engaging with fans through live broadcasts.

The latest ban is not the first time the content creator has lost a TikTok account.

In June 2025, TikTok removed another account belonging to Carter Efe, which had approximately 3.5 million followers at the time.

The earlier ban came amid controversy surrounding comments he made about Nigerian singer Wizkid during a livestream. Carter Efe subsequently apologised over the incident before returning to the platform and rebuilding his audience.

He later grew the replacement account to more than 5.6 million followers before it was permanently taken down in the latest action.

The development represents another setback for the skit maker, who has relied heavily on TikTok to distribute his comedy content and maintain direct engagement with his large online audience.

Carter Efe had also recently spoken about his decision to stop creating relationship-focused content with his former girlfriend.

During an episode of Cocktails & Takeaways, the comedian discussed his past relationship content and some of the challenges he encountered while producing videos with his former partner.
