Pastor Tobi Adegboyega has explained why he deliberately exposed female members of his church to luxury lifestyles, saying the approach was designed to prevent them from being easily influenced or intimidated by wealthy men.

According to Ireporter Online, the founder of SPAC Nation made the remarks in a video circulating online, where he explained that church members were taken to expensive hotels, restaurants and other high-end locations as part of an effort to broaden their exposure and build their confidence.

Adegboyega said the initiative was particularly aimed at young women, whom he wanted to help develop strong values and avoid becoming overly fascinated by celebrities, wealthy individuals or material possessions.

According to him, exposing female members to luxurious environments would make them realise that such experiences were attainable and ensure they did not compromise their principles simply because someone wealthy offered them access to an extravagant lifestyle.

He explained that members of SPAC Nation were given opportunities to visit exclusive locations, experience expensive cars and hotels, and interact with influential people.

The cleric said the strategy was intended to ensure that young women would not feel overwhelmed or easily impressed when they encountered wealthy men, celebrities, footballers or musicians.

Adegboyega stated that the church deliberately organised some of its activities, including services, lunches and feeding programmes, at expensive locations as part of its unconventional approach to empowerment.

He mentioned prestigious venues, including Rosewood and Dorchester, saying the experiences were meant to build confidence among female members and help them understand that they could aspire to success independently.

According to Adegboyega, the exposure was intended to give young women a different perspective on wealth and prevent them from believing that access to luxury could only come through relationships with wealthy men.

He maintained that the initiative was designed to encourage female members to make independent choices based on their values and ambitions rather than being influenced by the financial status of others.

The pastor’s comments have since generated attention online, with many Nigerians discussing his unconventional approach to empowering young women and shaping their understanding of wealth, success and independence.
