Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has appealed to Nigerians to continue supporting President Bola Tinubu’s administration and back his bid for a second four-year term.

According to Ireporter Online, the First Lady made the appeal during a visit to Imo State, where she addressed supporters and Catholic women and urged them to continue praying for the President.

Oluremi said the administration had commenced work immediately after assuming office and would require another four years to consolidate and complete some of its ongoing programmes.

She stressed that the President’s ambition was limited to the constitutionally permitted two terms, dismissing suggestions that the administration could seek a third term.

The First Lady said Nigerians should support the government through the completion of its eight-year tenure, noting that the administration had “hit the ground running” since taking office.

She also appealed to Catholic women to continue praying for President Tinubu, expressing confidence that the country would improve under the administration.

Speaking about her personal motivation for supporting the government’s efforts, Oluremi said she wanted to contribute to building a better Nigeria that she could enjoy in her later years.

The First Lady also disclosed that she would turn 66 later this month and asked the women to remember her in their prayers.
