Enugu Police Launch Manhunt: Commissioner Orders Arrest Of Native Doctor For Cruelty To Animals In Viral Shrine Videos

In a bold move, CP Uzuegbu condemned the barbaric and archaic practices showcased in the videos, denouncing such acts as incompatible with modern society’s values. The Commissioner emphasized the existence of laws in Enugu State expressly prohibiting and criminalizing such abhorrent behavior.

In response to the disturbing footage, the State Criminal Investigation Department (State CID) and Nsukka Area Commander have been mobilized to launch a comprehensive investigation. Their mission: to swiftly apprehend and prosecute the prime suspect, believed to hail from Ovoko community in Nsukka Local Government Area.

DSP Henry Ndukwe, the command’s spokesperson, affirmed the Commissioner’s resolve to uphold justice, urging local and international stakeholders who have expressed outrage over the appalling videos to stand united with the police in seeking accountability.
