According to Ireporter Online, former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has declared that he would “teach a political lesson” to the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, amid growing political tensions within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Fayose made the statement during an interview on Channels Television, where he insisted that he is not a politician to be underestimated. He alleged that Makinde undermined his influence within the PDP structure in the South-West, claiming that trust was betrayed in the process.

He further warned that political loyalty and respect remain key in politics, stressing that cooperation would yield support while disrespect would attract strong opposition. According to him, Makinde’s political ambitions, particularly his presidential declaration, contributed to internal setbacks within the party, adding that elections would soon reveal the outcome of current alignments.

In a separate interview on EKTV, Fayose also expressed strong confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that the President would defeat opposition candidates such as Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi even if elections were conducted multiple times.

He dismissed recent calls for Tinubu’s resignation over insecurity concerns, describing them as politically motivated and driven by opposition supporters. Fayose maintained that despite public criticism, the President remains politically strong and capable of retaining power against any challenger.
