According to SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the state police spokesperson, Adanma presented herself to the police on Thursday, April 11, and provided a statement. Additionally, two boat operators implicated in the incident have been apprehended and are currently in police custody.

Ikenga assured the public that thorough investigations would be conducted into the incident, with all cast and crew members involved in the movie production slated for questioning.

Daddy Freeze’s Outcry Over Makeup Artist’s Burial

Meanwhile, Nigerian media personality Daddy Freeze has criticized Nollywood producers for the manner in which makeup artist Abigail Fredrick was laid to rest at a riverbank in Anambra State. Abigail was one of the victims of the boat accident that claimed Junior Pope’s life.

Despite efforts to recover Abigail’s body and provide a dignified burial, financial constraints reportedly prevented her family from affording the necessary traditional rites to take her remains back to Akwa Ibom. Moses Eskor, a film director and actor, revealed that the funds raised were insufficient for the required rituals.

Expressing dismay, Daddy Freeze questioned why Nollywood producers couldn’t raise adequate funds to ensure Abigail’s proper burial, highlighting the need for the industry to address such issues with more urgency and support.
