APC Clinches Dawakin Kudu By-Election Victory In Kano

According to Ireporter Online, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged victorious in the Dawakin Kudu Federal Constituency by-election held in Kano State, securing a commanding lead over its rivals.

The Returning Officer, Prof. Umar Sani of Bayero University, Kano, announced the final results at the collation centre after the conclusion of voting and tabulation of figures.

He disclosed that the APC candidate, Rabiu Shuaibu, polled a total of 35,356 votes to defeat his closest opponent, Lawal Garba Haruna of the African Peoples Movement (APM), who garnered 268 votes. The Labour Party (LP) candidate, Abubakar Yahaya Muhammad, received 98 votes.

Declaring the outcome, Prof. Sani stated that the election was duly contested and conducted in line with electoral guidelines. He affirmed that Rabiu Shuaibu of the APC, having met all legal requirements, was hereby declared the winner and returned elected.

Election officials described the exercise as peaceful and orderly, with collation and certification completed at the constituency level, confirming a decisive win for the ruling party candidate.
