According to Ireporter Online, the Nigerian singer featured briefly in the teaser released by the film’s director, Gina Prince-Bythewood, who shared a glimpse of the production process with fans on Instagram.

Prince-Bythewood also revealed that the official trailer for the highly anticipated movie would be released shortly, expressing excitement over the journey behind the project.

The director wrote that the teaser offered fans a preview of the creation of the fictional world of Orisha, while announcing the upcoming trailer release and the film’s scheduled cinema debut.

Although Ayra Starr’s appearance in the clip was brief, it represents her first visual appearance in character ahead of her official Hollywood acting debut.

The movie adaptation of Tomi Adeyemi’s bestselling novel, Children of Blood and Bone, has attracted global attention and features a star-studded cast, including Viola Davis, Idris Elba, Cynthia Erivo, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Lashana Lynch and Damson Idris.

The teaser also featured Nigerian Grammy-winning singer Tems’ hit track “Me & U” as its soundtrack, further highlighting Nigerian talent in the international production.
