Tinubu Takes Action After Deadly Kaduna Attacks, Issues Fresh Directive
President Bola Tinubu has directed the Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies to intensify operations in Kaduna State following the deadly attack on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward, Kauru Local Government Area.
According to Ireporter Online, the President ordered security authorities to immediately pursue the attackers, secure the release of those abducted and restore peace to communities affected by the violence.
Tinubu gave the directive on Tuesday while reacting to the attack, which occurred on Monday and reportedly left about 30 people dead, including women and children. Several homes were also reportedly destroyed during the assault.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described the incident as a brutal and unacceptable attack on innocent citizens.
Tinubu assured Nigerians that those behind the violence would be identified and brought to justice, warning that criminal groups seeking to disrupt peace and security in Kaduna State would face decisive action.
The President expressed sympathy to the families of the victims, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani and residents of the state, while pledging continued federal support for affected communities.
He said security agencies had been instructed to increase their presence in the area, track down the perpetrators, rescue kidnapped persons and restore normalcy.
Tinubu also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving security operations, strengthening security infrastructure and providing necessary support for personnel working to combat criminal activities.
The President urged residents of affected communities to cooperate with security agencies by providing useful information that could assist investigations and help prevent further attacks.
He stressed that the Federal Government would continue its efforts to dismantle criminal networks across the country and protect the lives and property of Nigerians.
Tinubu maintained that ongoing security operations would be sustained in Kaduna State and other parts of the country until lasting peace is achieved.
