The newly sworn-in commissioners are Fasuwa Johnson Johnson representing Ogun State and Amidu Tadese Raheem representing Osun State.

The ceremony took place at the Council Chamber of the State House in Abuja, just prior to the commencement of the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.

Their induction follows the swearing-in of 17 of their colleagues in March.

During the ongoing FEC meeting, a moment of silence was observed in honor of two former ministers: Professor Fabian Osuji, a one-time Minister of Education, who passed away at the age of 82 in February, and Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, former Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, who passed away at the age of 72.
