This resignation follows closely on the heels of the state Commissioner for Education, Professor Prince Chinedu Mmom, who also stepped down.

In his resignation letter addressed to Governor Fubara and delivered through the Secretary to the State Government, Tammy Danagogo, Worlu cited a “toxic” work environment and the alleged attempt to merge the executive and legislative branches as his reasons for leaving.

“I write to formally resign my appointment as the Honourable Commissioner of Housing,” Worlu stated. “This is one of the most difficult decisions in my life, prompted by the toxic atmosphere and the arbitrary decisions, including the attempt to fuse the executive and legislative arms of government in Rivers State. I thank you for the opportunity to serve and wish you the best in steering the ship of state. Kindly accept assurances of my esteemed regards.”
