Akpata’s Emotional Plea For Jattu Market Tragedy Victims Takes Internet by Storm, Strikes A Chord With Nigerians

In a moving message that has captured the hearts of Nigerians, Labour Party’s governorship candidate for Edo State, Akpata, addressed the tragic incident at Jattu Market in Etsako West Local Government Area. The calamity, which struck on Monday, July 8, 2024, claimed numerous lives and left many others injured due to trees felled by severe rains.
Akpata and his team visited the devastated market the following day to express their condolences and support to the grieving community. Their visit included a stop at a local hospital where some of the injured were receiving treatment. Akpata pledged assistance with medical bills for the victims, showcasing his commitment to supporting those affected by the tragedy.
In his message posted on X, Akpata also reached out to the Chairman of the Local Government, Mr. Marvellous Zibiri, offering condolences and assuring continued support during these challenging times. Akpata emphasized the importance of ongoing rescue efforts, urging the Chairman to ensure that all relevant agencies persist in their operations to potentially rescue individuals still trapped under the debris.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the affected families even as we pray for the peaceful repose of the souls of the dead and the speedy recovery of those who sustained injuries,” Akpata stated. His heartfelt words and proactive response have resonated deeply with Nigerians, highlighting his empathetic leadership and dedication to his community during a time of crisis
