Ex-Commissioner Reveals Explosive Details About Shaibu’s Convoy Attack 

According to Naija News, the attack resulted in the death of a police officer, Inspector Akor Onuh.

Stewart, who recently switched allegiance from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC, was among those accused by the PDP and the Edo State government of orchestrating the shooting.

However, during a press briefing in Benin on Tuesday, Stewart, an APC chieftain, stated that the accusations were a deliberate attempt by the Edo State government to tarnish his growing political reputation.

He explained that his return to the APC was due to irreconcilable differences within the PDP, despite his significant contributions to the ruling party in the state.

Stewart remarked, “This is to inform Edo residents that I was not involved in last Thursday’s political violence, which resulted in the death of a police officer.

“I left the PDP when it became clear that I could not work with a political novice leading the PDP activities in my local government in Egor. I am too educated to be directed by an uneducated and unqualified leader.”

He urged the public to disregard the misinformation in the government’s statement, which he claimed falsely implicated him in the violence.
