DHQ Dismisses Alarming Reports Of Bandit Control At Military Base

which suggested that bandits had occupied the military training camp in Kontagora Local Government Area and parts of Mariga Local Government Area.

In response, Major General Edward Buba, Director of Defence Media Operations, clarified that while bandits are active in some areas, no part of the military training facility has been compromised. Buba explained that military operations are actively suppressing terrorist movements, and the DHQ is working closely with the Niger State Government to restore peace and security.
