EFCC Investigates Betta Edu’s Financial Links And Bobrisky’s Bribery Allegations

During a Thursday press briefing in Abuja, EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede, represented by Director of Public Affairs Wilson Uwujaren, shared that Edu remains under investigation for alleged misconduct, with N30 billion already recovered and over 40 bank accounts under review.

The EFCC also stated it would maintain a firm stance against corruption within its ranks following allegations of bribery related to dropping charges against Bobrisky for money laundering.

Uwujaren said, “Regarding allegations involving Bobrisky and VeryDarkMan, we are committed to concluding investigations effectively. If misconduct is found, proper action will be taken. Accountability has always been upheld here.”

He continued, “As for the investigation of former Minister Betta Edu, we have kept the public updated on our progress. Monitoring of over 40 accounts is a time-intensive process. These matters are still underway.”

A government spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed that a report was sent to the President, resulting in the appointment of a new Minister of Humanitarian Affairs.
