The Governor expressed that his primary focus is not on securing re-election but on fulfilling the democratic mandate entrusted to him during his first term.

Yusuf said, “I’m not concerned about re-election. My priority is to deliver the dividends of democracy, as promised in my current tenure.

“What truly matters to me is the judgment of the people based on my performance. We know those who were soundly defeated in both 2019 and 2023. We won against them even when we held no political office— not even a councillorship seat. But Allah made it possible for us to achieve a landslide victory.”

He continued, “I believe it is my destiny to serve as Governor. I submit fully to Allah’s will— if He wills for me to serve a second term, I will. If not, then that is His plan, and I am at peace with it. Hence, why should I be concerned with political pressure?”

Yusuf’s commitment to serving the people through performance rather than political maneuvering remains steadfast, aligning with his vision of transparent governance.
