Inspector Oriyomi stated that the offence violates Section 302 of the Law of Ekiti State, Nigeria, 2021.

Counsel for the defendant, Barrister O. G. Abiola, requested bail for his client, assuring the court that he would not abscond.

Chief Magistrate Mr. Abayomi Adeosun granted bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like amount, adjourning the case to February 6 for further hearing.
