Nigerian Star Victor Boniface: Al Nassr Dives Into Transfer Talks

Al Nassr is actively pursuing Nigerian forward Victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen, aiming to finalize the deal before the winter transfer window closes. The Saudi Arabian club seeks to replace Anderson Talisca, who is reportedly heading to Fenerbahçe in Istanbul. Renowned football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano announced this on his official X account on Monday, January 27.

Romano stated, “Al Nassr has officially opened talks to sign Victor Boniface as their new striker! Negotiations are progressing with Bayer Leverkusen to acquire the Nigerian talent as a successor to Talisca. Another potential option is Jhon Durán; however, Aston Villa is committed to keeping him.”

Although Boniface recently signed an extension with Bayer Leverkusen until 2026, making him one of the club’s highest earners, he is not considered unsellable. Leverkusen is expected to demand a fee of at least €50 million for the 24-year-old forward from interested clubs.

Meanwhile, Rangers striker Cyriel Dessers has stated that he is not in a hurry to leave the club this month. After losing his starting position to Hamza Igamane, Dessers has been linked with a transfer. However, he remains focused on his performance, having netted six goals in his last four outings for Philippe Clement’s squad.

In a conversation with Daily Record, Dessers revealed he has not yet discussed a potential exit with senior club officials: “I haven’t had any talks. My focus is on my football and what happens on the pitch,” he said.

“What I can control is my performance. I’m enjoying being on the field with my teammates, striving for points, and making contributions. I have unfinished business at Rangers, which is why I’m putting in the effort during training to maximize my playing time.”
