Breaking: ‘Deadly Plot Foiled’ How Tafa Sego Cheated Death In Midnight Raid On His Lagos Home Details Emerged

According to sources, six armed men stormed his home on Gbadamosi Close around 11 p.m. on Saturday night, intending to assassinate him. Fortunately, Sego was not at home at the time, having earlier stepped out for an event with some associates.

The assailants, unable to locate him, tied up his security guard and ransacked the house before fleeing. Though the guard was beaten, he survived and later filed a report with the police.

Prince Idowu Onikoyi, a stakeholder in the NURTW, confirmed the incident in a call with SaharaReporters, assuring the public that Tafa Sego is safe and in good health. He also noted that the police have begun investigating the matter.

The attack has left residents of the area shaken, with many expressing fears over a potential follow-up assault. Officers from Area C Command promptly visited the scene to assess the damage and gather evidence, including interrogating the injured security guard for leads on the attackers.

A close associate of Sego suggested the attack may be linked to recent reforms he’s been championing within the NURTW to improve members’ welfare.

“The Chairman is deeply disturbed by this incident. He believes it’s a direct response to the reforms he’s implementing to improve conditions for our members. But we will not be intimidated. We’re working with security agencies to ensure those responsible are brought to book,” the associate said.

The situation has increased tension in the previously quiet Surulere neighborhood, as residents and union members await further developments.
