I Spent Millions On Men… And Got Hurt!’ – Actress Idia Aisien Opens Up
According to Ireporter Online, actress Idia Aisien has opened up about her past experiences in toxic relationships, revealing that she had financially supported men who later betrayed her trust.
In an interview with media personality Toke Makinwa, Aisien recounted instances where she provided funds to men she dated, believing it would help them succeed. She described one particular case in which she invested in a man’s business, only to discover that he used the money to fly another woman to Dubai.
Aisien explained, “I used to give men money. They would say their business was struggling, so I would give them a couple of million. You are dating for marriage and want the guy to succeed, thinking that helping him early will later translate into mutual support. How he treats you depends on how you treat him.”
She added, “There was a guy I supported financially, and suddenly his phone wasn’t reachable. Later, I found out he had flown a well-known woman business class to Dubai. He claimed technical issues, but one of my brothers sent me a picture proving otherwise. When confronted, he tried to justify it by saying his friends dragged him there, despite the money I gave for his business.”
Makinwa, however, disagreed with Aisien’s approach, emphasizing that a woman should not financially support a man she is not married to. She stated, “You don’t have a ring on your finger, so that man’s destiny has nothing to do with you. Whether he succeeds or fails, that is his responsibility.”
