I Was Bashed For It’ – Tiwa Savage Breaks Silence On Leaked Private Video

According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has spoken openly about the emotional toll she endured after a private video of hers was leaked online. The singer, who shared her experience during an appearance on American radio show Hot 97, described the backlash as harsh and deeply hurtful, coming from both fans and influential figures.

“I was bashed for it… people with platforms were horrible. They blamed me,” she said, highlighting the unfair treatment she received despite being the victim. Tiwa Savage also addressed rumors suggesting she leaked the video to maintain relevance, which she firmly denied.

Describing the ordeal as exhausting, she added, “I don’t want to feel it. That’s exhausting… that’s why I switch off sometimes. I have my little shots of tequila and I’m listening to my music.” She also noted that she did not pay to stop the release of the video, saying, “You can’t blackmail me. I did it. And they still did it. And I was bashed for it… you’re the victim in it.”

In a related revelation, Tiwa Savage opened up about her emotions toward her former partner and music collaborator, Wizkid. She explained that performing alongside him evokes strong memories of their past, making the experience highly emotional.
