Sh*ck Exit: Suspended Nasarawa PDP Chairman Dumps Party

The suspended Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State, Adamu Bako, has officially resigned from the party, marking a significant development in the state’s political landscape.

According to Ireporter Online, Bako conveyed his decision in a letter dated April 15, 2026, addressed to the PDP Ward Chairman in Agyaga, Akwanga Local Government Area, where he described his exit as a difficult but necessary move.

In the correspondence, the former party chairman explained that his resignation was driven by the need to ensure peace, safeguard his personal well-being, and realign with a political platform that better reflects his leadership ideals and aspirations. He noted that the decision would allow him to advance politically alongside his loyal supporters and mentees under a structure more in tune with his vision.

Bako further emphasized that his departure does not diminish his long-standing commitment to the PDP, a party he said he had once deeply respected and defended throughout his years of service.

His resignation follows closely on the heels of his suspension by the party over allegations bordering on gross misconduct and anti-party activities, a development that has further intensified the ongoing internal crisis within the PDP in Nasarawa State.
