The achievement marks Kane’s second European Golden Boot since joining Bayern Munich, having first claimed the award during his debut season in Germany in the 2023/24 campaign with the same Bundesliga goal tally.

The 32-year-old enjoyed the most prolific season of his career, recording 61 goals and seven assists in 51 appearances across all competitions. He also ended the season with silverware after scoring a hat-trick in Bayern’s DFB Pokal final victory over VfB Stuttgart, helping the Bavarian giants complete a domestic double.

While Kane celebrated success in Germany, his former club Tottenham Hotspur faced a dramatic battle to avoid relegation from the Premier League. Spurs secured their survival with a tense 1-0 victory over Everton F.C. on the final day of the season.

According to reports, João Palhinha scored the decisive first-half goal that ensured Tottenham remained in the top flight, while rivals West Ham United were relegated to the Championship for the first time since 2012 despite defeating Leeds United 3-0.
