Amaechi Loyalist Raises Alarm Over Alleged Manipulation In ADC Primary

Wala, a known supporter of former Rivers State Governor and ADC presidential aspirant, Rotimi Amaechi, said he personally monitored the conduct of the exercise in Gombe State and concluded that the process fell short of acceptable democratic standards.

His remarks come after Amaechi publicly rejected the outcome of the primary, insisting that the exercise lacked transparency, fairness, and credibility.

In a statement shared via his Facebook page, Wala strongly backed Amaechi’s position, describing the conduct of the election as a “brazen, shameless auction,” alleging that the process undermined the core values the ADC claimed to represent.

He further alleged that voters were subjected to intimidation and systematic disenfranchisement, adding that the final outcome of the primary may have been determined outside the official voting procedures.

Wala also called on former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who was reportedly leading in the results, to distance himself from what he described as “dirty, concocted primary election results.”

He claimed to possess what he described as “undisputed evidence” of irregularities and voter suppression during the exercise in Gombe State.

In a further allegation, Wala said an individual approached him with an offer to take him to the hotel room of the committee leadership to “secure whatever he needed,” describing the setting as a “clandestine situation room” where, according to him, final manipulations were allegedly concluded behind closed doors.
