Morayo Afolabi-Brown: Why I Left Harvesters Church After Breakup With Minister
Media personality Morayo Afolabi-Brown has disclosed that a painful relationship breakup influenced her decision to leave Harvesters International Christian Centre, where she had served in a leadership role within the church.
Speaking during a recent podcast conversation with Senior Pastor Bolaji Idowu, Afolabi-Brown recounted how her relationship with a fellow minister in the church came to an end, making it emotionally challenging for her to continue worshipping in the same congregation.
According to her, both she and her former partner were actively involved in ministry at the church, with her serving as the head usher while he occupied a ministerial position. She explained that the end of the relationship had a profound effect on her and ultimately prompted her departure from the church.
Afolabi-Brown revealed that despite efforts by Pastor Idowu to persuade her to remain at Harvesters, she had already made up her mind to leave.
Reflecting on the experience, she stated that the breakup was the primary reason behind her exit, noting that the emotional weight of the situation made it difficult for her to continue attending the church after the relationship ended.
