According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian singer Spyro has said that excessive spending on women and lavish parties has contributed to the financial downfall of some of his colleagues in the music industry.

The ‘Who’s Your Guy’ crooner made the remarks while speaking to fans during a performance at an event over the weekend, describing such spending habits as financially unwise and unsustainable.

Spyro noted that while it is not wrong for men to spend on their partners, it becomes problematic when it is done without restraint or financial discipline. He advised young men and fans to prioritize savings and investments over extravagant lifestyles and fleeting pleasures.

The singer further alleged that some of his colleagues ended up broke after spending their initial major earnings on parties, luxury outings, and frequent trips, including visits to South Africa.

He explained that unlike those who followed that path, he chose to focus on building his music career and making prudent financial decisions, which he credited for his current stability and success.

Spyro also revealed that after gaining fame, he began receiving messages from wealthy social media personalities offering to sponsor foreign trips, but said he declined such offers in order to remain focused on his career goals.

According to him, discipline and financial wisdom remain key factors that separate lasting success from short-lived fame in the entertainment industry.
