Former Zamfara Deputy Governor Loses Beloved Wife

The Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, has visited former Zamfara State Deputy Governor, Senator Hassan Nasiha, to offer his condolences following the death of Nasiha’s wife, Hajiya Kulu.

According to Ireporter Online, Hajiya Kulu passed away in India a few days ago after a brief illness.

Matawalle, who previously served as governor of Zamfara State, arrived in Gusau through the Gusau International Airport, where he was welcomed by a large number of supporters before heading to the residence of the former deputy governor.

The minister was accompanied by several political leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from across the state.

During the condolence visit, Matawalle sympathised with Nasiha and his family, while praying for Allah’s mercy on the deceased and asking for strength and comfort for the bereaved family.

Special prayers were also held for the late Hajiya Kulu and her loved ones.

In his response, Nasiha expressed appreciation to Matawalle for the visit, describing him as a leader who prioritises human relationships and continues to show support beyond political differences.

Nasiha served as deputy governor during Matawalle’s administration and was his running mate in the 2023 Zamfara governorship election.

Other members of the delegation included Senator Sahabi Ya’u, who represents Zamfara North; the Director-General of the Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation, Yazeed Shehu Danfulani; and Federal Commissioner of the National Population Commission, Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya.

Also present were Zamfara APC Secretary Ibrahim Maigandi Danmaliki, the party’s state auditor Yusuf Idris, alongside other party leaders and dignitaries who joined in offering condolences to the former deputy governor.
