Obidient Movement Is Fighting A Silent War Within’ – Daniel Bwala

According to Ireporter Online, Bwala, who serves as Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, made the remarks in a post shared on his official X handle, where he alleged that some supporters have begun to question the direction and purpose of the movement.

The presidential aide claimed that certain members have come to the conclusion that the Obidient Movement is driven more by anger, criticism and negativity rather than a constructive political agenda.

Bwala further alleged that some members of the group frequently discredit Nigeria, Nigerians and political leaders despite their ambition to participate in governing the country.

“There is a silent political civil war going on in the Obidient camp,” Bwala stated, claiming that some supporters are beginning to reconsider their association with the movement and are gradually distancing themselves.

He argued that the growing division within the group reflects increasing dissatisfaction among some members who, according to him, no longer identify with its activities and approach.

Meanwhile, Bwala has also called for greater accountability from state governors over the rising cases of kidnapping across the country.

Speaking during an interview on the Morayo Show, the presidential aide argued that governors should be questioned whenever abductions occur within their states, especially as many incidents happen at the local government level.

Bwala linked the worsening security challenges in some communities to what he described as shortcomings in local governance and the management of resources meant for public safety and development.

He maintained that state governors have a responsibility to ensure security within their jurisdictions and should not distance themselves from criminal activities occurring under their watch.
